This week the sunshine made everybody think it was actually summer, so when the weekend came and it got very cold I got the reality april chock. I went to the market with Hugues and his mother and she told us what baker has the most crispy baguette, what farmer has the organic vegetables and where to get the freshest fish. The interesting thing about the french outside markets is that there are both very high quality farmers who sell their goods but also farmers who get big parts of what they sell where the supermarkets buy there things. So you need to know where to go! Now the kitchen is filled up with fruits and vegetables, goat cheese and eggs, here are the best recipes of the week:
Orange fruit salad with spices, if there is orange in a desert, I spit it out… but, this salad just looks to good.
Sugar buns for children birthdays and carnivals.
A good hearty salad that fills up well, Broccoli Gribriche a whole meal in a salad.
A little bit of power and energy that makes you beautiful drizzled on your soup or sandwich? yes please, Algaemashio.
Nettle tea has a ton of great features, so go out in the garden and get some nettles, here is the way to do it yourself!
To celebrate something, here is a Pear, Rosemary and lemongrass cocktail that is going to make you dream, it was created by one of my favorite blogs who made it to celebrate their upcoming book.
Have a great week, xJ
